Future Comics was supposedly revamping this idea in the last series they were working on. Can't remember the name of the title. It was similar. Defiant1 That would be Peacekeeper. Not sure how similar they were other than the name. That may be all. I just know it was brought up in an interview. I know very little (nothing) about the Charlton character. The helmet he wears is pretty goofy. Defiant1

That's why I never bought any Peacemaker's yet. Out of the Charlton heroes who existed during this time period, I thought he was one of the weaker looking ones. Like you said....goofy looking. Maybe after I buy a few of them, it'll grow on me. All I know is I need to add them to my collection.

I had that one as a kid, after I saw the movie in the theater. I must have been all of four or five. My wife says I have the memory of an elephant. In later years, I picked up a low grade copy of this, but it's already been resold out of the vault. Cool book....along the lines of Warren's Horror on Party Beach, The Molemen, & Curse of Frankenstein/Horror of Dracula (Hammer) magazines

I'm trying not to buy all the charlton comics just to get scans, but this being a magazine I thought it was interesting enough. It has a lot of creases. I see some that I missed removing.

I love the Charlton books and your cover galleries... One of my favorites was The Phantom with the great Jim Aparo covers and interior art... I'm reading them again at present... Liked the Gold Key and King Comics material as well but the Charlton material was more exciting as it wasn't reprints...

Liked the Gold Key and King Comics material as well but the Charlton material was more exciting as it wasn't reprints... I may have a complete set of the Phantom scans. I acquired a bunch of high grade images, but I haven't cropped and processed them all yet. I like the crime/police books for some reason. I like the Space/Western comics also for some reason. I jump around on the checklist so I don't get bored with it. Compiling thousands of hard to find scan is an unbelievably huge task. I have to discard a lot of scans and review scans for the same issue over and over. I've been looking for an Atomic Rabbit #4 scan for the past year. I have one with serious printing flaws. I'm about ready to spend a week cleaning it up, but I'd rather wait for one to pop up on eBay. Defiant1

Very nice page and gallery! Would love to see you add the Logo to the page to make it complete. I remember when this was just a Charlton Checklist and I thought it was cool and even then I thought that was a nice piece of work to gather that info and have one place to look at and see a serious Charlton Checklist. But the cover galleries are the icing on the cake! Being the huge Charlton fan I am, it actually gets my psyched up to go out and find more when I see these galleries! Keep em coming man!

Public Defender in Action:logo added... After creating this gallery I could not help but notice that this could be read as "Public Defender Inaction". I find that amusing considering the years it came out. Defiant1

Ha! It does look like Johnny Cash! ;D Yeah... at work, the logo on that page looks like crap, but the images are huge and don't look too bad. At home, the logo looks okay and the images are tiny. I took some shortcuts with that logo and it shows. It is VERY time consuming to chisel away all the pixels that aren't part of the logo. Defiant1

The Phantom Cover Gallery is now posted thanks to SG! Click the logo to see the page... Defiant1 This page is quite nice! I have a few Phantoms and I appreciate the ones I have, the covers are always nice but it doesn't seem like a sought after mission for me until I see the covers all collected like this. They definitely look good as a group. I'm very happy I have a high end #74 which is the last issue. I think mine is like a VF/NM which for Charlton is like a 9.8.....When I happen across higher conditions copies like that even by accident (I didn't know it was the last issue when I got it), it makes the term "Charlton Collecting" even sweeter. These checklists are fueling the fire to go after more Charltons. I haven't picked up many in awhile now and I think it's time I did.
