I made some progress on this, but it still has a long way to go.

I must admit, I havent messed with this much. I want to though. I just find it hard to find time to try and work on it. I have to learn how to do it too. I think your step by step instructions were easy to follow. I did try some things and it was working just as you advertised. I think my progress stopped when I realized I needed to go to that website to find the list of books. That is something I havent admittedly done yet. If I do, and get the hang of inputting stuff, I'll try and become more worthy at assisting with it. This is a list I personally would like to see completed. But it would be easier if it was something I could work on at work...and I cannot. At home, it is just harder to find the time.

I'm not sure if it would help. I think I have "a" list. The problem has been formatting, error checking and transferring data to my HTML template. This project has been on hold until I fix a few other pages... namely my Topps page and tweaking a few others.

Feel free to send me what you have. It's nerve wrecking to sort through Charlton because of their screwed up numbers and volumes. I like my checklist to be accurate per indicia and I own very little of these.

I knew almost nothing about Charlton other than personal experience seeing them when I was younger. Anything I know now is just from being curious and investigating online

Looking at Medicar's list, I decided to look at it long and hard and look at what titles had the latest year? It appears the last year of publication listed on any title above is 1986 with very few also being done in 1985. I copied and pasted each title that had an ending date of 1985 or 1986 and came up with 7 titles (please note, the list is pretty long, so I could have missed one or 2 and please correct me if I am wrong). Once I knew the 7 titles, I looked them up in Overstreet 1 by one and located final issue number, any notes about the issue and most importantly (to me) the month the last issue was published. Here is the list I created:

I was thinking Charlton Bullseye Special #2 (Atomic Mouse) dated 1987, but I can't find a scan anywhere. I'm wondering if it exists.

Also, You can't trust Overstreet on last issues. They are notorious for tacking on issues that don't exist. When Jon Warren was editor of the Wizard Price Guide, he used to collect scans of first and last issues so that he wouldn't fall prey to Overstreet's false information. Overstreet is notorious for listing 4 color comics with the incorrect content also. The comic might be daffy duck, but they'll list it as something else.

#10 on Bullseye is the last issue I ever remember seeing. I have that.

Why does Overstreet list the history of that book June 1981 - No 10, Dec 1982: Nov 1986? Whats up with the ;November 1986??? Was it 2nd printed then?

Look at the specials. #2 is dated 1987 in my old copy of Overstreet. (I just grabbed the first one I saw.)

I cannot find a listing for that book in my Overstreet 2006. Unless Im not looking it up right. But, normal search...cannot find it?

BTW Iron Corpral #25 DOES exist! I just want confirmation before I go rushing out and buying one.

But they kept the November 1986 when clearly #10 was December 1982.

Probably solicited and never shipped. They forgot to remove the 1986 date. Somone did mention it as Newsarama. Couldn't figure out why. I may take it off my checklist.

I guess the company died and nobody even paid attention. Sad.

So.... I continue to wonder if there are other candidates for last issue of Charlton Comics ever made. Is it Iron Corporal #25? Or does these 2 Charlton Bullseye's Special exist? Or, is there another candidate we arent discussing yet? Im curious for a couple of reasons. One, I just want to know period. And 2, I'd like to find and have whatever is last (I dont know why, I just want it).
