Love that title name...."Secrets of Young Brides" That should be a comic book telling potential future brides how to keep their future husband happy in bed. Could have been a game changer for Charlton.

It's interesting to me that Attack #48 (Vol. 5) has a blurb on the cover saying "All Wood Art", but it has a Simon & Kirby cover. Found a scan for the Canadian price variant for Attack #46. My suspicion is that those are going to be the toughest scans to get.

Partridge Family #19 Defiant1 Although I wouldn't call this great work, I love the old school lettering and attention getting primary colors being used here. One thing I think sometimes that cannot be replicated with digital coloring is just the way the old school coloring has vibrancy and pop! And it's not just with these Charltons. This is just a good example of it. It's pretty much all those old school works from pre-1990's. There is a certain emotion I get looking at stuff like that that I cannot when I look at modern Comics. I was watching a Guitar Center Special on Joe Walsh. On it, he performed a newer song called "Analog Man". He was asked about it. Basically he claimed it had been like 20 years since he put out a solo album and he said a lot had changed since his last album. He said everything is digital now and you can make everything "perfect". But perfect doesn't always sound better. Sometimes it's the little imperfections that make it sound unique and give it its personality and mood. He said today, you can have 25 layers of perfect sounds all layered on top of each other and people put it out and call it a song. "But ain't nobody playing a musical instrument. It's all made on a computer by some whiz kid." That's kind of what stuff like this reminds me of. The perfect stuff looks plastic. The hand done stuff with room for errors has plenty of pizzazz and personality.

Modern generations are too stupid to even think about that. Defiant1

Added Attack (Vol.5 Series 4) #'s 3 & 5. No link here because the image is located at a temporary storage host and I don't want to update the messageboard later.

Interesting development. The Charlton checklist may be dead in the water. The hosting company's domain is redirecting to a cybersquatters generic page.

Due to lack of information and and a completely dead domain across all hosted sites, I've transferred the Charlton Checklist to a new host. charlton.herobo.com/Charlton_index.html This was the fastest and easiest migration I've ever dealt with. The new host did not ask for any personal info nor did they push any upgrade services from their free service. The upload (over 1800 files/folders) was the fastest I've experience. Not sure if that's really good or a sign that they won't last because it's "too good to be true". Defiant1

Added scans for all the Blue Beetle comics. I'm thinking the first Charlton series from 1955 would be VERY tough to find. Blue Beetle #18 Blue Beetle #19 Blue Beetle #20 Blue Beetle #21 Several of the scans above have extensive touch-up because the ones available online are horrible. Defiant1
