Anyone ever got one of the Defiant Comics envelopes where inside there's a Plasm poster, ad sheet, and a few Newlin Company Inc. letters from Shooter? In the stapled letters, there's artwork with a Jim shooter bio/short story type of thing...anyone know who drew those art panels?? Shooter himself?

He does rough art when he writes comics to turn into the artist. Wish I had one of those envelopes you speak of, but can't say that I do.

I have that packet. Maybe two. I'd have a hard time finding it after my office flooded from the floor above.

Yea, they look pretty cool but trying to decipher if it's his artwork or another Defiant artist. The art does look kinda rough but not like a quick sketch. The envelope has a pic of "Lorca" from Plasm.

If that is the Lorca image that Neal Adams drew, then I have the color art that Janet Jackson did over that image. One of these days I'll scan it. It's a nice piece, but it's very large and the paper is thin. I don't want to risk damaging it.

Yep! That's the Lorca drawn by Neal Adams. I have a color version. Sigh! Let me see if I can scan it... Defiant1

Very cool Neal Adams color page...how much do you want for it again? ;D Here are the "Shooter" art panels/pages I mentioned that were in my envelope too: Is the "Lorca" on the envelope up there by David Lapham?

Not sure if that's Lapham or not. It doesn't look as good as his other stuff, but it's blown up so large and that could be the reason. It might be drawn small with less detail.
Yeah... believe it or not... none of my color art is for sale.
Go figure?!?!

Any more old Defiant posters out there? So far, I've seen the oversized "Plasm" poster with the yellow background.... And the fold out poster in the center of Warriors of Plasm Issue #4. any others out there?

I don't remember either. I've seen it before. Don't own it. The thing to have would be the Mongrel print.

This is the Mongrel print. First thing Defiant released.... Q i have this one framed but to be honest i dont know anything about it. can you tell me a little background? This item was the first thing Defiant ever solicited in Previews if I recall correctly. It was a signed & numbered print. I think it was in the neighborhood of $75 new, but it's been so long I can't remember. I only saw a couple of these when it first came out. The character is Mongrel. Some people think that it's Maserov from "Dogs of War" & "Warriors of Plasm". Todd Luck had some interesting speculation. If you dig on the board you'll find his comments here somewhere. Q

Wow, $75 new. I wonder what might be a fair price to pay for one nowadays?

Were the "Mongrel" prints originally sold in a glass frame or was it sold in a sealed plastic wrap with cardboard backing?
